Synthesis of alpha- and beta-globulins in normal and liverless dog
American Journal of Physiology, 1963Incorporation of dl-S35 methionine into electrophoretically separated α1-, α2-, and ß-globulins was studied in the same four dogs before and after total hepatectomy. In the normal animal methionine was incorporated rapidly into both α- and ß-globulins. Peak specific activity was attained in all fractions at approximately 6–12 hr.

Rod myopathy: Beta globulin peak and increased complement
Metabolism, 1973Abstract A distinct beta globulin peak was consistently present on paper electropherograms of sera from three brothers with nemaline, i.e., rod myopathy. The C3 component complement was elevated in each of them; other constituents of the beta peak were not increased.

Nuklearmedizin, 1969ZusammenfassungWährend einer subakuten Thyreoiditis de Quervain konnte eine ThyroxinBindung an die Beta-Globulin-Fraktion des Serums beobachtet werden. Nach dem Abklingen der klinischen Symptome ging diese Beta-Bindung von T 4 spontan und vollständig zurück.Die möglichen Ursachen dieser Hormon-Verlagerung werden diskutiert.
