Transferrin (Beta-Globulin) Polymorphism in Anatolian Merino and Native Akkaraman Sheep

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, 1997
In this study, transferrin polymorphism was investigated in Anatolian Merino and native Akkaraman sheep breeds. The seperation of transferrin types were carried out using the horizontal starch gel electrophoresis. Five transferrin alleles A, B, C, D and E were identified in both breeds. Heterozygosity (h) in Anatolian Merino and native Akkaraman breeds

Simple Methods for Purification of Beta-Lactoglobulin from Cow’s Milk while Preserving Its Antigenicity

open access: yesپزشکی بالینی ابن سینا, 2002
Beta-lactoglobulin (BLG) is a major whey protein in the milk of ruminants,    e.g. cows, and such non-ruminants as horses. This protein is resistant under    various conditions of pH and temperature. There is some evidence of    absorption of some intact

Diagnostic consideration of the increased percentage of beta globulin in cerebrospinal fluid

open access: yesSEIBUTSU BUTSURI KAGAKU, 1967
For the purpose of studying the diagnostic significance of the increased percentage of beta globulin in the lumbar cerebrospinal fluid, the fluid in the intracranial subarachnoid space which seemed to contain a large percentage of beta globulin was investigated electrophoretically and immunologically.
