The aim of this work is designing and testing a specific primer FusA1F/R for studying the SE2 gene, which controls the expression of acidic chitinase. The material for the study were sugar beet plants of domestic and foreign breeding. The SE2 gene is localized on chromosome 3 and controls a stable level of acidic chitinase activity.
