High‐speed quantitative X‐ray multi‐contrast imaging with deep learning based modulated pattern analysis

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, Volume 33, Issue 2, Page 467-480, March 2026.
This work presents a neural‐network framework that accelerates X‐ray multi‐contrast imaging—simultaneously delivering absorption, phase, and dark‐field, while maintaining high spatial resolution, and outperforms correlation‐based methods in speed, achieving a favorable balance between resolution and throughput.

Leaf Litter Decomposition in the Tropics Dynamically Recovers Following Experimental Disturbance Across Temporal Scales

open access: yesBiotropica, Volume 58, Issue 2, March 2026.
Litter decomposition by arthropods and microbes is a key ecosystem process in tropical forests, yet its response to disturbance and forest regeneration remains poorly understood. To investigate decomposition dynamics across forest succession, we conducted a space‐for‐time study in the Ecuadorian lowland Chocó spanning active cacao plantations and ...

Virus‐Dependent Geographic Structure of Co‐Circulating Viruses in a Single Bat Species

open access: yesMolecular Ecology, Volume 35, Issue 5, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Understanding the spatial spread of viruses within wildlife populations is often a key component of disease management efforts. Viral spread is likely constrained by host ecology, but inter‐virus differences in infection strategy might allow some viruses to overcome these constraints, leading to divergent population structures within a common ...

Spatial Patterns of Intraspecific Genetic Diversity Follow no General Rule Across Climatic and Geographic Gradients

open access: yesMolecular Ecology, Volume 35, Issue 6, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Intraspecific genetic diversity (ISD) underpins key eco‐evolutionary processes, yet its spatial distribution across species' ranges remains poorly understood at broad scales. Combining mitochondrial sequence alignments, species distribution models and comparative analyses, we tested whether populations closer to current niche optima exhibit ...

Generalisations of Capparelli's and Primc's identities, II: Perfect An−1(1)$A_{n-1}^{(1)}$ crystals and explicit character formulae

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract In the first paper of this series, we gave infinite families of coloured partition identities which generalise Primc's and Capparelli's classical identities. In this second paper, we study the representation theoretic consequences of our combinatorial results.
