Thin layer drying behavior of Ginkgo biloba L. leaves with respect to Ginkgolide A and Bilobalide content and microbial load

open access: yesHeliyon, 2020
Influence of drying temperature (30–50 °C) and relative humidity (RH: 30–80%) on moisture content, energy requirement and quality of Ginkgo biloba leaves with respect to chemical markers namely Ginkgolide A (GA) and Bilobalide (BB), and microbial load of

Residual Chemical Shift Anisotropies in the Structure Determination of Small Molecules

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Chemistry, Volume 64, Issue 3, Page 286-311, March 2026.
Plasma neutrophil elastase(ELANE) was markedly elevated in patients with alcohol use disorder, indicating a dysregulated protease‐antiprotease inflammatory balance characterised by decreased SERPINA3. ELANE showed excellent diagnostic specificity(AUC = 0.8683), supporting its potential utility as a neuroinflammatory biomarker for AUD.

Ginkgo biloba extract (EGb761) inhibits mitochondria-dependent caspase pathway and prevents apoptosis in hypoxia-reoxygenated cardiomyocytes

open access: yesChinese Medicine, 2011
Background EGb761 is a standard extract from the leaves of Ginkgo biloba (Yinxing) containing ginkgo-flavone glycosides and terpenoid. The flavonoid components of EGb761 scavenge free radicals and protect myocardia from ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Neuronutraceuticals for Alzheimer's Disease Treatment: A Systematic Review of Randomised Controlled Trials Over the Last 20 Years

open access: yesPhytochemicals in Food and Medicine, Volume 1, Issue 1, March 2026.
This PROSPERO‐registered review analysed 37 RCTs on neuronutraceuticals for Alzheimer's disease. Despite diverse targets—amyloid/tau, inflammation, oxidative stress, metabolism, synaptic plasticity, cholinergic and hormonal—the evidence was of low quality. RoB2 flagged attrition (86.5%) and reporting bias (81%). Current data do not support clinical use;
