Evaluation of the anti-angiogenic potential of hydroxytyrosol derivatives [PDF]
Angiogenesis, a process which allows the formation of new vessels from pre-existing ones, is an essential phenomenon for tumor survival since it allows cancer cells to obtain nutrients and oxygen.

ABSTRACT Titanium dioxide (TiO2), used as a food additive (labeled E171 in Europe), was withdrawn from the European market in 2022. The E171 toxicity mechanism involves its uptake, oxidative stress, DNA damage, and inflammation. It has been hypothesized that the TiO2 accumulation nanoparticles (NPs) or E171 triggers tissue damage, and some studies have

Schematic representation of the microfluidic platform with its advantages. Abstract A major challenge in pharmacology is the limited selectivity of therapeutic compounds toward specific tissues or cells. Drugs often distribute systemically before reaching the intended site of action, affecting nontarget cells and potentially reducing efficacy or ...

Novel insights into the neuroendocrine control of inflammation: the role of GR and PARP1 [PDF]
Inflammatory responses are elicited after injury, involving release of inflammatory mediators that ultimately lead, at the molecular level, to the activation of specific transcription factors (TFs; mainly activator protein 1 and nuclear factor-kB). These

Aphids pose a serious risk to horticultural crops. Current biocontrol strategies often fail due to the poor establishment of natural enemies when aphids are scarce. We evaluated the potential of two aphidophagous predators, Micromus variegatus and Scymnus interruptus, to be used as preventive biocontrol agents, released before aphid infestation.

B-Raf and CRHR1 internalization mediate biphasic ERK1/2 activation by CRH in hippocampal HT22 Cells. [PDF]
CRH is a key regulator of neuroendocrine, autonomic, and behavioral response to stress. CRH-stimulated CRH receptor 1 (CRHR1) activates ERK1/2 depending on intracellular context.
