Solvent‐Mediated Dewetting Principles for Cell‐Sized Liposome Formation
Dynamics of solvent‐mediated dewetting for giant unilamellar liposome formation. Solvent removal, through changing lipid packing and membrane tension, is shown to induce partial dewetting into equilibrium low and high budding angle morphologies. Complete dewetting requires mechanical force, quantified using optical tweezers.

This review examines salt glands in exo‐recretohalophytes, in which epidermal stem cells differentiate into unicellular, bicellular, or multicellular salt glands. Salt ions are transported to the leaves via the transpiration stream and enter salt glands through symplastic and apoplastic pathways. Finally, salt glands actively secrete salt ions from the

Dynamics of Vesicle Formation from Lipid Droplet: Mechanism and Controllability
A coarse-grained model developed by Marrink et al. [J. Phys. Chem. B 111, 7812 (2007)] is applied to investigate vesiculation of lipid [dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC)] droplets in water.

A variational problem for a fourth order parabolic surface partial differential equation is discussed. It contains non-linear lower order terms, on which we only make abstract assumptions, and which need to be defined for specified problems.

Entropy Generation Analysis due to Permeable Exponential Stretching in Boundary Layer Flows
ABSTRACT Entropy generation represents the irreversible loss of useful energy in thermal–fluid systems, directly reducing efficiency in applications, such as microelectronics cooling, nanofluid‐based heat exchangers, and polymer processing. This study investigates entropy generation in a two‐phase viscoelastic nanofluid flow over a permeable ...

Domain Growth, Budding, and Fission in Phase Separating Self-Assembled Fluid Bilayers
A systematic investigation of the phase separation dynamics in self-assembled multi-component bilayer fluid vesicles and open membranes is presented. We use large-scale dissipative particle dynamics to explicitly account for solvent, thereby allowing for
