Australasian Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.ABSTRACT Background/Objectives
To estimate the lifetime and point prevalence of alopecia areata (AA) among Australians aged ≥ 15 years. Methods
A cross‐sectional survey was conducted from August to September 2024 in a quota‐balanced sample of the Australian population, aged ≥ 12 years (exploratory objective included participants aged 12–14 years ...Rodney Sinclair, Samantha Eisman, Leona Yip, Maureen Hitschfeld, Anna Williamson, Giles Stratton, Christoph Lohan, Carol M. Allergy, EarlyView. No stable features were identified as associated with asthma symptom control in transcriptomics or sputum proteomics. Higher TWEAKR/TNFRSF12A and MBL/MBP‐C serum levels increased the odds of uncontrolled symptoms, while higher MK08/MAPK8 and CD5L serum levels decreased the odds, after adjustment for clinical variables.Joana Antão, Guilherme Rodrigues, Nazanin Zounemat‐Kermani, Paolo Montuschi, Qichen Deng, Frits M. British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, EarlyView.Abstract
Latent variable models typically require large sample sizes for acceptable efficiency and reliable convergence. Appropriate informative priors are often required for gainfully employing Bayesian analysis with small samples. Power priors are informative priors built on historical data, weighted to account for non‐exchangeability with the ...Lihan Chen, Milica Miočević, Carl F. Cancer Science, EarlyView.Chemotherapy combined with nivolumab reshapes the gastric cancer tumor microenvironment (TME) and is accompanied by an enrichment of reduced cytotoxicity NK (RC‐NK) cells. Rather than acting as classical cytotoxic effectors, these RC‐NK cells appear to shape the TME by promoting an immunostimulatory circuit that engages adaptive immunity.Takuya Nakatsuru, Hiroki Yamashita, Chiaki Mashima, Guoqiang Zhang, Hitoshi Saito, Tatsunori Minamide, Keita H. Cancer Science, EarlyView.PD‐1 blockade combined with chemotherapy induces MHC‐II+ inflammatory neutrophils in gastric cancer, which engage in dynamic crosstalk with macrophages to remodel the tumor microenvironment toward a pro‐inflammatory state, thereby amplifying antitumor immune responses.Keita H.
