Bioreactors for Tendon Constructs
Tendon injuries are very frequent and are often repaired with autografts, allografts, xenografts, or tissue-engineered tendon grafts. With the rising field of tissue engineering, bioreactors became useful tools.

Effect of cytostatic drugs on the sludge and on the mixed liquor characteristics of a cross-flow membrane bioreactor: Consequence on the process [PDF]
The influence of cyclophosphamide and its principal metabolites (CPs) on the physicochemical properties of the mixed liquor of a cross-flow membrane bioreactor and the consequences for membrane fouling were investigated.

Role of nickel in high rate methanol degradation in anaerobic granular sludge bioreactors [PDF]
The effect of nickel deprivation from the influent of a mesophilic (30 degrees C) methanol fed upflow anaerobic sludge bed (UASB) reactor was investigated by coupling the reactor performance to the evolution of the Methanosarcina population of the ...

Decellularized Extracellular Matrix (dECM) in Tendon Regeneration: A Comprehensive Review
Decellularized Extracellular Matrix (dECM) offers a promising solution by replicating the native tendon microenvironment and promoting regeneration. This review highlights advances in the decellularization methods, as well as their integration with emerging technologies and translational progress in tendon tissue engineering.

Our coaxial electrospinning system is capable of incorporating decellularized myocardial extracellular matrix in a core‐sheath configuration, creating nanofibrous scaffolds. These scaffolds, in turn, support the maintenance of functional cardiomyocytes adhered to the surface of these bioactive scaffolds.

We developed a fully human 3D tonsil cell culture system incorporating supportive stromal cells that better sustains and activates immune cells than conventional methods. The model generates stronger, more targeted antibody responses to viral antigens and vaccines, providing a physiologically relevant and entirely human platform for studying immune ...

An in vitro testicular model is developed by generating connective tissue equivalents from human dermal fibroblast‐derived microtissues and coupling them with human Sertoli cells or human Sertoli cell spheroids. This engineered microenvironment supports Sertoli cell maturation and functionality, providing a promising platform for studying human ...

Anaerobic membrane bioreactors for municipal wastewater treatment [PDF]
Anaerobic treatment has historically been considered unsuitable for the treatment of domestic wastewaters. The work presented in this thesis focuses on the incorporation of membranes into the anaerobic bioreactor to uncouple solid retention time and ...
