Dual‐Functionality, Bio‐Friendly Artificial Muscles for Actuation and Motion Sensing in Smart Wearable Systems

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This work presents a biofriendly carbon nanotube yarn artificial muscle operating either as an in‐air unipolar actuator or as a self‐powered ionotronic strain sensor. Using a non‐volatile eutectogel‐derived electrolyte, the system achieves up to 2.9% contraction and 0.5 mV/% strain sensing sensitivity.

A Retinomorphic Graphene Transistor Implementing Direction‐ and Velocity‐Selective Computation for In‐Sensor Image Stabilization

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A multi‐gated ion‐gel graphene transistor architecture emulates spatiotemporal dendritic filtering inspired by biological direction‐selective retinal circuits. Leveraging distributed resistance‐capacitive ionic relaxation delays under combined excitation‐inhibition pulse routines, the solid‐state device exhibits programmable direction‐selective index ...

Towards High‐Throughput Testing of Bipolar Plate Materials for Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzers: Correlative Contact Resistance and Stability Analysis

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Bipolar plates are a major cost driver in proton exchange membrane water electrolyzers (PEMWE) and require novel cost‐effective materials combining high corrosion resistance with low interfacial contact resistance (ICR). We present a correlative workflow for spatially resolved dissolution and ICR measurements by developing a miniaturized ICR ...
