Aspidosperma–aspidosperma-type bisindole alkaloids from Voacanga africana

Tetrahedron, 2013
Abstract Four new aspidosperma–aspidosperma-type bisindole alkaloids 1–4 were isolated from the seeds and root bark of Voacanga africana (Apocynaceae) and their structures were determined by spectroscopic analysis. Among them, voacandimine A (2) featured a linkage mode new to dimeric monoterpenoid indole alkaloids.

Cathagines A–D, new bisindole alkaloids from Catharanthus roseus

Journal of Natural Medicines
Four new bisindole alkaloids, cathagines A (1)-D (4) consisting of an aspidosperma and the fused tetracyclic 3-spirooxindole derived from an iboga type skeleton were isolated from the whole plant of Catharanthus roseus. The structures including absolute stereochemistry were elucidated on the basis of 2D NMR data and CD spectra.

Insecticidal bisindole alkaloids from leaves of Tabernaemontana divaricata 'Dwaft'

Phytochemistry
Six undescribed bisindole alkaloids, namely taberdisines A-F (1-6), were isolated from the leaves of Tabernaemontana divaricata 'Dwaft'. Among them, alkaloids 1 and 2 were the first examples of strychnos-iboga type alkaloid with both C-C linkage patterns. Alkaloid 3, a new type of aspidosperma-iboga with a furan-ring, as well as other three undescribed
