Synthesis of perfluoroalkylene aromatic diamines [PDF]

open access: yes
Analogues of methylene dianilines were synthesized, in which the methylene group between the two aromatic nuclei was replaced by various perfluoroalkylene linkage.

Mechanical and Electrochemical Performance of a PETEA‐Based Solid‐State Electrolyte for Multifunctional Structural Battery Composites

open access: yesNano Select, EarlyView.
Multifunctional structural battery composites can store electrical energy while bearing mechanical loads, thereby reducing parasitic mass and volume. We present a novel solid‐state PETEA‐based electrolyte, which can be cured in situ after infiltration into the reinforcement fibers in its monomer form.

Balancing Sustainability and Performance: Bio‐Based Epoxy Systems for Durable Flax Fiber‐Reinforced Composites

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
Bio‐based epoxy systems enabling sustainable, durable, and high‐performance flax fiber composites. ABSTRACT Three bio‐based epoxy systems—Polar Bear, Green Turtle, and Plankton—featuring bio‐carbon contents of 28% to 70%, were combined with recyclable (Recyclamine R101) and non‐recyclable hardeners to produce flax fiber‐reinforced biocomposites.

Sustainable Carbon Fiber Composites Based on Recyclable Bio‐Based Vanillin Thermoset Polymers

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
Development of composite materials made from a bio‐based and mechanically recycled vitrimeric polymer matrix. ABSTRACT Although bisphenol A (BPA) is the most used organic compound in the production of thermosets for composite materials, there has been an urgent scientific concern to eliminate it in the last years due to the environmental issues raised ...
