European Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.A simple procedure for the double hydrophospho(i)nylation of terminal alkynes, using photoinduced organic radical chemistry, is reported in order to access bisphosphonates and bisphosphinates. The reaction is carried out in air without any metal catalyst or ligand.
