Wideband ‘black silicon’ for mid-infrared applications [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate the absorption of mid-infrared light by low resistivity silicon textured via deep reactive ion etching. An analytical description of the wave propagation in black silicon texture is presented, showing agreement with the experiment and the computational analysis.

Optical properties and growth mechanism of rock-like structured black silicon
In this study, rock-like black silicon is prepared by using plasma enhanced hot-wire chemical vapor deposition (PE-HWCVD). The average grain sizes of polysilicon for 10-min, 20-min and 40-min growth time was about 12.4, 14.3 and 15.5 nm, respectively. As

Diffusion of phosphorous in black silicon [PDF]
Black silicon is a promising texturing method for solar cells since it suppresses optical reflection in a broad spectral range. This relaxes the usual antireflection requirements on the coatings used for surface passivation of silicon. Fabrication of n-type emitters requires diffusion of phosphorous through the nanostructures of black silicon, which ...

The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Fabrication of Micro- and Nanopillars from Pyrolytic Carbon and Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon
Pattern formation of pyrolyzed carbon (PyC) and tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C) thin films were investigated at micro- and nanoscale. Micro- and nanopillars were fabricated from both materials, and their biocompatibility was studied with cell ...
