The estimates of diagonally dominant degree and eigenvalues inclusion regions for the Schur complement of block diagonally dominant matrices

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2015
The theory of Schur complement plays an important role in many fields, such as matrix theory and control theory. In this paper, applying the properties of Schur complement, some new estimates of diagonally dominant degree on the Schur complement of I(II)-

Block Toeplitz Matrices: Multiplicative Properties

open access: yes, 2023
Given $A,B,C$ and $D$ block Toeplitz matrices, we will prove some of the basic results concerning the product $AB-CD$. In addition, with respect to change of basis, the characterization of normal block Toeplitz matrices with entries in the algebra of ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

The Unipotency of Linear Groups Generated by Matrices with Primitive  Elements Contain no more than Six Jorden Blocks

open access: yesJournal of Harbin University of Science and Technology, 2019
In order to solve the problem of whether the matrices generated by two unipotent matrices are unipotency, a new combinatorial property of generators of free groups is obtained by using the matrix logarithmic tool。From the point of the combination of ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Optimally conditioned block matrices

open access: yes, 2002
The paper provides a description of optimally conditioned Hermitian positive-definite block matrices, i.e., of matrices A=(Aij)mi,j=1∈Cn×n, n⩾m⩾2, Aii∈Cni×ni,i=1,…,m, such thatk(A)=minD∈Δ(n1,…,nm){k(D*AD)}.Here, Δ(n1,…,nm)⊆Cn×n is the group of ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Alternative methods for representing the inverse of linear programming basis matrices

open access: yes, 1988
Methods for representing the inverse of Linear Programming (LP) basis matrices are closely related to techniques for solving a system of sparse unsymmetric linear equations by direct methods.

Spectra and pseudospectra of block Toeplitz matrices

open access: yes, 1998
This paper extends previous work by Reichel and Trefethen on the spectra and pseudospectra of Toeplitz matrices to the case of triangular block Toeplitz matrices.
