Complete excision of the last remaining 1-2% of tumor tissue without collateral damage remains particularly challenging. Herein, we report thiophenthiadiazole (TTD)-derived fluorophores L6-PEGnk (n = 1, 2, 5) as new-generation NIR-II (1000-1700 nm ...

Finite-time contractive boundedness of extracorporeal blood circulation process
Applied Mathematics and Computation, 2021This paper proposes, finite-time contractive stability for a state space model of extra-corporeal blood circulation (ECC). Firstly, by virtue of an appropriately chosen Lyapunov function some sufficient inequality-based conditions for the existence of an

Cochlear Strial Blood Circulation
Acta Oto-Laryngologica, 1991The present immunohistologic study demonstrates that cochlear strial blood circulation is markedly damaged in guinea pigs subjected to intense acoustic stimulation. In contrast, autonomic unbalance of the inner ear induced by resection or electric stimulation of the superior cervical ganglion has no appreciable effect on cochlear strial blood flow.

Blood vessels, circulation and blood pressure
Nursing Standard, 2012This article, which forms part of the life sciences series, describes the vessels of the body's blood and lymphatic circulatory systems. Blood pressure and its regulatory systems are examined. The causes and management of hypertension are also explored.

Improving Tumor Accumulation of Aptamers by Prolonged Blood Circulation.
Analytical Chemistry, 2020Developing cancer targeted medicine depends on increasing delivery efficiency and tumor site accumulation of theranostic agents. To accomplish this, we report a modification of PTK7 receptor-specific aptamer Sgc8 with the small molecule Evans Blue (EB ...

Tetrabromobisphenol A perturbs erythropoiesis and impairs blood circulation in zebrafish embryos.
Environmental Science and Technology, 2020Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA), a ubiquitous environmental pollutant, has been implicated in developmental toxicity of aquatic animals. However, the impact of TBBPA on development and the related mechanism have not been fully elucidated.

Histoplasma in Circulating Blood
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1969To the Editor:— Since the advent of renal homotransplantation it has become increasingly apparent that a wide variety of viral, bacterial, parasitic, and fungal diseases may develop in recipients of kidney transplants. Although the occurrence of disseminated histoplasmosis has been described in some of these patients,1,2the finding of organisms ...

Anaesthesia and circulating blood volume
European Journal of Anaesthesiology, 2005The exact change in circulating blood volume (BV) during general anaesthesia is still unknown because there is no standard method of evaluating BV. We evaluated the changes in BV by general anaesthesia using simple and easy estimation methods.Fourteen patients scheduled for minor surgery under general anaesthesia were enrolled.
