The effect of fluorescein on the accuracy of blood glucose determination by glucose meters [PDF]

To investigate whether intravenous fluorescein significantly affected the accuracy of a glucose meter.Thirty-four consecutive patients undergoing fluorescein angiography were recruited. Venous blood was removed immediately before and 1 hour after injection of 5 mls of 20% Sodium Fluorescein solution (1 mg).

A Brain‐Penetrant Nanobody Reveals GSK3β‐Driven Proline‐Directed Phosphorylation as a Master Regulator of Ischemic Neurodegeneration

A brain‐targeted nanoparticle enables delivery of a therapeutic nanobody (Nb.29E9) that inhibits pathogenic GSK3β signaling. This intervention restores AMPK/mTORC1/TGFβ homeostasis, attenuates neuroinflammation and oxidative stress, and promotes long‐term functional recovery after ischemic stroke.

Polymer‐Based Multiparameter Sensing Integrated Photonic Chip for Health Monitoring

A monolithic integrated photonic chip simultaneously measures blood glucose, pressure, temperature, ECG, and sweat glucose. Combining multiple Bragg grating sensors, Mach–Zehnder modulators, and an on–‐chip demodulation unit, this compact chip (1 cm × 0.5 cm) offers robust multiparameter detection.
