Biodegradable and Edible Milli‐Fluidic Logic Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Fully biodegradable and edible fluidic circuits are developed using gelatin‐based valves that operate at low pressure. Logic gates, a one‐bit memory, and a ring oscillator are demonstrated, showing that biodegradable materials can perform computation and control.

Local existence and blow-up criterion for the two and three dimensional ideal magnetic Benard problem

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2020
In this article, we consider the ideal magnetic Benard problem in both two and three dimensions and prove the existence and uniqueness of strong local-in-time solutions, in Hs for s > (n/2)+1, n = 2,3.

Logarithmically Improved Blow up Criterion for Smooths Solution to the 3D Micropolar Fluid Equations

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
Blow-up criteria of smooth solutions for the 3D micropolar fluid equations are investigated. Logarithmically improved blow-up criteria are established in the Morrey-Campanto space.

Spatial Stiffness Programming in Single‐Filament Material Extrusion Through Data‐Driven Thermal Foaming

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Single‐filament material extrusion enables spatial stiffness programming through locally controlled thermal foaming of TPU. A data‐driven G‐code framework tunes porosity from 15.7% to 40.7% and hardness from 90 to 63 Shore A within and across layers. Monolithic hands and soft actuators consequently achieve distinct programmed motions without material ...

Blow-Up Criterion and Persistence Property to a Generalized Camassa–Holm Equation

open access: yesSymmetry, 2023
In this paper, a generalized Camassa–Holm equation, which may be used to describe wave motion in the shallow water, is considered. Some dynamic properties are studied for the model. Firstly, a new blow-up criterion for the equation is established. Then, analytical solutions are presented for the first time by using a new method. Finally, we investigate

Improving the Robustness of Visual Teach‐and‐Repeat Navigation Using Drift Error Correction and Event‐Based Vision for Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Visual teach‐and‐repeat (VTR) navigation allows robots to learn and follow routes without building a full metric map. We show that navigation accuracy for VTR can be improved by integrating a topological map with error‐drift correction based on stereo vision.

Universal Gripper for Industrial Manipulation With Enhanced Rigid Mechanics and Self‐Adaptable Fingers

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
An enhanced universal gripper combining rigid mechanics with self‐adaptable fingers is presented for industrial automation. The novel six‐bar linkage with integrated compliant pad eliminates mechanical interference while enabling passive shape adaptation.

Blow-up criterion for the 2-D Prandtl equation

open access: yes, 2020
In this paper, we consider the 2-D Prandtl equation with constant outer flow and monotonic data. We prove that if the curvature of the velocity distribution(i.e., $\partial_y^2u$) is bounded near the boundary, then the solution can not develop the singularity.

Real‐Time Holographic Feedback via Mixed Reality Sensorized Laryngoscope Training System Enhances Pediatric Intubation Training

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
We proposed a Mixed Reality Sensorized Laryngoscope Training System to provide real‐time holographic torque feedback during pediatric endotracheal intubation simulation. Visualization formats are evaluated to reduce tracking error and visual demand.
