1989
In Czechoslovakia, a multidisciplinary research group for BNCT of human brain gliomas has been constituted in 1980. Mercaptoborane compound has been synthesized suitable for clinical use. The configuration of a thermal neutron beam with appropriate parameters has been created using the 10 MW VVR-S research reactor and proved experimentally.
