Targeting SLC7A5 in lung squamous cell carcinoma: implications for cancer metabolism shift and boron neutron capture therapy resistance

open access: yesOncogenesis
Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) poses a significant global health challenge due to the lack of effective treatments. Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT), a targeted particle therapy, has shown promising results in various cancers. SLC7A5, a transporter of

Using the photon isoeffective dose formalism to compare and combine BNCT and CIRT in a head and neck tumour

open access: yesScientific Reports
Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) is a radiotherapy technique based on the enrichment of tumour cells with suitable 10-boron concentration and on subsequent neutron irradiation.

Advances in boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) at kyoto university - From reactor-based BNCT to accelerator-based BNCT

open access: yesAdvances in boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) at kyoto university - From reactor-based BNCT to accelerator-based BNCT
At the Kyoto University Research Reactor Institute (KURRI), a clinical study of boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) using a neutron irradiation facility installed at the research nuclear reactor has been regularly performed since February 1990. As of November 2014, 510 clinical irradiations were carried out using the reactor-based system.
