Oscillation of solar radio emission at coronal acoustic cut-off frequency

open access: yes, 2017
Recent SECCHI COR2 observations on board STEREO-A spacecraft have detected density structures at a distance of 2.5--15~R propagating with periodicity of about 90~minutes.

Bromine-enhanced polarization for strengthening ultra-thin copper foil in lithium-ion battery

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Reducing the weight of the negative current collector is an effective strategy for lightweighting vehicle batteries. Herein, thin copper foil with high tensile strength was prepared through electrodeposition in Br−-based aqueous solution. The synergistic

Ceramic wiring board increases packaging density of electronic modules [PDF]

open access: yes, 1971
Ceramic multilayer wiring board interconnects large scale integration /LSI/ modules which dissipate nearly 2W/cc. Extremely high packaging density is possible by application of alumina cover hermetically sealed to board.

The Role of Invasive Procedures in the Treatment of Complicated Gastrointestinal Graft‐Versus‐Host Disease in Pediatric Patients

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Gastrointestinal graft‐versus‐host disease (GI GVHD) following hematopoietic stem cell transplant is typically managed with medical therapy, but surgery and angioembolization may be warranted in selected cases with life‐threatening complications.

Investigation the Effect of Increasing Board Density and Amount of UF Resin on Particleboard Properties [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Wood and Paper Industries, 2012
In order to investigation the effect of increasing board density and amount of UF resin on particleboard properties, this study was carried out. .Regarding two variable parameters: board density at three level (520, 620 and 720Kg/m3) and percentage of UF

High-altitude gravity waves in the Martian thermosphere observed by MAVEN/NGIMS and modeled by a gravity wave scheme

open access: yes, 2015
First high-altitude observations of gravity wave (GW)-induced CO$_2$ density perturbations in the Martian thermosphere retrieved from NASA's NGIMS instrument on board the MAVEN satellite are presented and interpreted using the extended GW ...

Effects of the Fluid Replacement Method During Online Hemodiafiltration on the Solute Removal Performance and Biocompatibility Using the Asymmetric Cellulose Triacetate Membrane

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

A Serendipitous Galaxy Cluster Survey with XMM: Expected Catalogue Properties and Scientific Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
This paper describes a serendipitous galaxy cluster survey that we plan to conduct with the XMM X-ray satellite. We have modeled the expected properties of such a survey for three different cosmological models, using an extended Press-Schechter (Press ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
