NbRD21 protease controls receptor kinase homeostasis in Nicotiana benthamiana
New Phytologist, Volume 251, Issue 5, Page 2741-2752, September 2026.Proteomic analysis revealed that receptor kinases (red) accumulate higher in rd21 knockout Nicotiana benthamiana plants. Summary RD21‐like proteases are papain‐like cysteine proteases with a C‐terminal granulin domain that are abundant and ubiquitous in angiosperms and have often been implicated in immunity.
