Dynamic of Friction Coupling Independently Rotating Wheels for High Speed

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2017
A new lateral coupling structure with independently rotating wheels (IRW) is proposed, and longitudinal creepage is obtained by replacing the gear pair with the friction pair to synchronize the rotation speed of left and right wheels.

Stair‐Climbing Wheelchairs for Enhanced Mobility: A Comprehensive Review of Fundamental Mechanisms, Design Concepts, and Performance Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT People with physical disabilities face significant mobility challenges while climbing uneven surfaces and staircases. In these circumstances, traditional wheelchairs do not provide stable, safely controlled mobility, underscoring the importance of building superior stair‐climbing wheelchairs for both medical and infrastructure purposes.

Condition Monitoring of the Dampers in the Railway Vehicle Suspension Based on the Vibrations Response Analysis of the Bogie

open access: yesSensors, 2022
This paper investigates the possibility of developing a new method for fault detection of a damper in the primary suspension of the railway vehicle, based on the analysis of the vertical vibration’s response of the bogie.

Multi‐level fatigue reliability assessment of reinforced concrete railway bridges

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper presents a multi‐level reliability framework for assessing the fatigue life of reinforced concrete (RC) railway trough bridges subjected to cyclic loading. The framework incorporates increasing levels of analytical complexity and real‐world data in four steps. First, an analytical model applies S–N curves and the Palmgren–Miner rule

Direct evidence implicating the asymmetrical dimethylarginine (ADMA)‐dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase 1 (DDAH1) pathway in cerebrovascular dysfunction and stroke pathogenesis in mice

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose Asymmetrical dimethylarginine (ADMA) is an endogenous inhibitor of nitric oxide synthase (NOS), whereas dimethylaminohydrolase 1 (DDAH1) is primarily responsible for its metabolism. However, the roles of DDAH1 in cerebrovascular regulation are poorly understood. Furthermore, despite evidence that elevated ADMA levels are

Simulation Analysis and Experimental Investigation for a Welding Bogie Frame

open access: yes机车电传动, 2020
The structure of a new welding bogie and the material selection of bogie frame were introduced, and the finite element analysis and strength test were made for the bogie frame based on the EN 13749—2011 standard.

A study of lateral-force estimation equation focusing on moment of a train bogie

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2016
When railway vehicles pass through a sharp curve, yaw moment is generated at the bogie. This condition affects the increase of the lateral force of the outside wheel of the front axle of the leading bogie, which is important factor for assessing the ...

The Evolution of Autonomous Systems for Planetary Cave Exploration: A Review

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, Volume 43, Issue 6, Page 4094-4115, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The exploration of Subsurface Access Points (SAPs), such as lava tubes on the Moon and Mars, has gained significant interest due to their potential as stable environments shielded from surface radiation and temperature extremes. These sites are considered high‐value targets for detecting water and signs of ancient life, and assessing their ...
