Multicomponent Stapling of Glucagon‐Like Peptide‐1 Enables Receptor‐Guided PROTAC Delivery

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We report a stapled glucagon‐like peptide‐1 (GLP‐1) analogue created via multicomponent tryptophan‐mediated Petasis reaction (TMPR). This strategy yields a stabilised peptide with superior helicity and improved potency. Conjugation to a bromodomain‐containing protein 4 (BRD4) degrader creates the first GLP‐1‐guided targeted protein degrader (PROTAC ...

Screening Spinach Cultivars for White Rust Resistance and Bolting [PDF]

open access: yesHortTechnology, 2006
Areas with mild climate conditions are suitable for growing winter spinach ( Spinacia oleracea L.). Successful production depends on choosing slow-bolting cultivars resistant to major diseases in each area.

Fatigue Behavior of Welded Connections Enhanced with UIT and Bolting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A common problem in bridges employing welded steel girders is development of fatigue cracks at the ends of girder coverplates. Fatigue cracks tend to form at the toes of the transverse welds connecting a coverplate to a girder flange since this detail ...

Lipoic Acid‐Intervened Decellularized Stem Cell Spheroid‐Based Injectable Granular Gel for Diabetic Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Advancements in tissue engineering have revolutionized therapeutic paradigms for diabetic tissue defects; however, the lack of applicable scaffold containing various bioactive substance aggregates remained a critical bottleneck hindering satisfactory repair effect.

Ectopic Expression of the Chinese Cabbage Malate Dehydrogenase Gene Promoted Growth and Aluminum Resistance in Arabidopsis

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2016
Malate dehydrogenases (MDHs) are key metabolic enzymes that play important roles in plant growth and development. In the present study, we isolated the full-length and coding sequences of BraMDH from Chinese cabbage (Brassica campestris L.

Table_1_Brassica rapa orphan gene BR1 delays flowering time in Arabidopsis.xlsx

open access: yes, 2023
Orphan genes are essential to the emergence of species-specific traits and the process of evolution, lacking sequence similarity to any other identified genes. As they lack recognizable domains or functional motifs, however, efforts to characterize these

Enhancing CAR‐T Cell Efficacy in Solid Tumors by Inhibiting CCL5/VEGF‐Mediated Angiogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that CAR‐T cells in solid tumors produce CCL5, which paradoxically induces VEGF and angiogenesis to promote tumor growth. Blocking CCL5/VEGF signaling—through gene knockout, or the CCR5 inhibitor maraviroc—significantly enhances the antitumor efficacy of CAR‑T therapy (the diagram was created in Biorender).

Operando Electrochemical Formation of Integrated Ni‐Fe Oxyhydroxide Anode for Durable Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The interfacial stability and activity of Ni‐Fe‐based AEMWE anodes can be directly enhanced by operando voltage‐cycling in a FeOOH‐containing electrolyte. This process simultaneously induces Ni oxidation and Fe incorporation, forming an integrated, porous (Fe, Ni)OOH layer with high conductivity and durability.

Concurrently Achieving 4.6 W/M2 and 120,000 Cyclability Enabled by Extendable Swing Arms in Rotational Triboelectric Nanogenerator

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rotational energy harvesting device that successfully reconciles high power density with mechanical durability through a hybrid sliding‐and‐bouncing kinematic mechanism is reported. The success reported in our paper includes addressing a dilemma where enhanced electrical output comes at the cost of increased friction and wear, limiting the practical ...

Scalable Engineering of Bio‐Manufactured Extracellular Vesicles for Selective Delivery in Ovarian Cancer Patient‐Derived Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Engineered extracellular vesicles displaying Ephrin‐B2 selectively target Ephrin‐B4–expressing ovarian cancer cells, enabling precise delivery in patient‐derived models. This scalable bio‐manufacturing platform reveals a versatile strategy to exploit Ephrin signaling for highly specific therapeutic payload delivery and motivates exploration of tailored
