Bonding and correlation analysis of various SiCO isomers
The structural properties for various SiCO isomers in the singlet and triplet states have been investigated using CASSCF methods with a 6-311 +G* basis set and also using three DFT and MP2 with same basis set for those systems except for the linear ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

A Quantum-Chemical Bonding Database for Solid-State Materials
An in-depth insight into the chemistry and nature of the individual chemical bonds is essential for understanding materials. Bonding analysis is thus expected to provide important features for large-scale data analysis and machine learning of material ...

Thin bonding wires temperature measurement using optical fiber sensors
In this work we demonstrate the use of optical fiber sensors to measure temperature in thin metallic bonding wires. Temperature was measured in copper wires with diameter of 0.10, 0.28, 0.60 and 0.70 mm and for different values of the driven electrical ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

DESIGN OF ELASTIC SKIN AND HONEYCOMB SANDWICH CONNECTION SCHEME FOR COMPOSITE FLEXIBLE SKIN (MT)
In order to solve the problem of low connection strength between elastic skin and honeycomb sandwich of composite flexible skin for variant aircraft, a “two-step bonding” connection scheme is proposed.
