Immune‐Driven Expression in Inclusion Body Myositis With T‐Cell Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives T‐cell large granular lymphocytic leukemia (T‐LGLL), reported in up to 58% of inclusion body myositis (IBM) patients, is a rare leukemia of cytotoxic or less commonly helper T cells. The range of myopathies in T‐LGLL and the impact of coexisting T‐LGLL in IBM are not well understood. Our objectives are to investigate the spectrum of

BMN673 sensitizes rhabdomyosarcoma tumors to irradiation in vivo [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Bone and soft tissue sarcomas are mesenchymal tumors that occur rarely in adults, representing only 1% of total malignancies, but comprise up to 13% of malignant tumors in children.1 Rhabdomyosarcoma, a soft tissue sarcoma that commonly affects children,

Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of Inebilizumab Versus Rituximab in AQP4‐IgG‐Positive NMOSD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rituximab (anti‐CD20, RTX) and inebilizumab (anti‐CD19, INE) represent B‐cell‐depleting therapies used for aquaporin‐4 antibody‐positive (AQP4‐IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD); however, direct comparative evidence remains limited.

Bone metastasis prediction in non-small-cell lung cancer: primary CT-based radiomics signature and clinical feature

open access: yesBMC Medical Imaging
Background Radiomics provided opportunities to quantify the tumor phenotype non-invasively. This study extracted contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) radiomic signatures and evaluated clinical features of bone metastasis in non-small-cell lung ...

Targeting high-risk MYC-overexpressed osteosarcoma with an Aurora kinase inhibitor:--results from a pilot umbrella trial

open access: yesnpj Precision Oncology
Osteosarcoma is a highly heterogeneous cancer, and molecular subtyping has the potential to increase diagnostic precision and facilitate targeted therapies. In our previous study, we classified osteosarcoma into four distinct subtypes. Here, we conducted

Development and validation of machine learning model to predict early death of melanoma brain metastasis patients

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
BackgroundMelanoma has the third highest rate of brain metastases among all cancers and is associated with poor long-term survival. This study aimed to develop machine learning models to predict early death in melanoma brain metastasis (MBM) patients to ...

Incorporation of Selenium into Sol–Gel‐Derived Bioactive Glass: Influence on Glass Structure, Bioactivity, and its Selective Cytotoxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Selenium was incorporated into a sol–gel‐derived bioactive glass to enable sustained therapeutic ion release. The selenium‐containing glass preserved bioactivity while selectively inducing cytotoxicity in osteosarcoma cells and maintaining osteoblastic viability.
