Technology‐Driven Transformation of Compensation Systems: Mapping the Causal Structure of Digital Reward Systems

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Traditional reward systems, which are largely salary‐centered and structurally rigid, are no longer sufficient in an era defined by digital transformation. Building on this premise, this study examines how emerging technologies reshape integrated compensation systems by uncovering their causal, mediating, and outcome‐oriented roles.

SIMPLIFYING BOOLEAN NETWORKS [PDF]

open access: possibleAdvances in Complex Systems, 2005
This paper explores the compressibility of complex systems by considering the simplification of Boolean networks. A method, which is similar to that reported by Bastolla and Parisi,4,5is considered that is based on the removal of frozen nodes, or stable variables, and network "leaves," i.e. those nodes with outdegree = 0.

BOOLEAN NETWORKS WITH MEMORY

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2008
In standard Boolean Networks (BN) the new state of a cell depends upon the neighborhood configuration only at the preceding time step. The effect of implementing memory of different types in cells of BN with different degrees of random rewiring is studied in this article.

Bisimulations of Probabilistic Boolean Networks

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2022
A probabilistic Boolean network (PBN) is a collection of Boolean networks endowed with a probability structure describing the likelihood with which a constituent network is active at each time step. This paper proposes a definition of bisimulation for PBNs.

Complete Synchronization of Boolean Networks

IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, 2012
We examine complete synchronization of two deterministic Boolean networks (BNs) coupled unidirectionally in the drive-response configuration. A necessary and sufficient criterion is presented in terms of algebraic representations of BNs. As a consequence, we show that complete synchronization can occur only between two conditionally identical BNs when ...

From Boolean to Probabilistic Boolean Networks as Models of Genetic Regulatory Networks

Proceedings of the IEEE, 2002
Mathematical and computational modeling of genetic regulatory networks promises to uncover the fundamental principles governing biological systems in an integrative and holistic manner. It also paves the way toward the development of systematic approaches for effective therapeutic intervention in disease.

Boolean Network Games and Iterated Boolean Games

2015
A Boolean Network Game is a game played on a network structure. Players choose actions depending on the actions of those in their neighbourhood and attempt to achieve some goal expressed in a modification of Linear Temporal Logic over an infinite run. Iterated Boolean Games are similar, but lack network structure.
