Borane-Catalyzed C3-Alkylation of Pyridines with Imines Aldehydes, or Ketones as Electrophiles
Achieving C3-selective pyridine functionalization is a longstanding challenge in organic chemistry. The existing methods, including electrophilic aromatic substitution and C–H activation, often require harsh reaction conditions and excess pyridine and ...

Crystal structure of borated N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyldiaminomethane
In the title compound, {[(dimethylamino)methyl]dimethylamine}trihydridoboron, C5H17BN2, the tetrahedral geometry of the N—C—N unit is slightly disorted. As a result of the bulky amine substituents, a wider N—C—N angle of 113.6 (1)° is observed.

Proton-responsive Ruthenium(II) Catalysts for the Solvolysis of Ammonia-Borane
Two water-soluble ruthenium(II) complexes (1 and 2) containing the proton-responsive 6,6′-dihydroxy-2,2′-bipyridine (dhbp) ligand were studied as precatalysts for the solvolysis of ammonia-borane (AB) in water and/or alcohols.

Destabilization of Boron-Based Compounds for Hydrogen Storage in the Solid-State: Recent Advances
Boron-based materials have been widely studied for hydrogen storage applications. Examples of these compounds are borohydrides and boranes. However, all of these present some disadvantages that have hindered their potential application as hydrogen ...

Dehydrogenation of iron amido-borane and resaturation of the imino-borane complex
Dehydrogenation of an amido-borane iron complex provides an imino-borane complex. Regeneration of the amido-borane precursor was achieved by protonation of the imino-borane followed by hydride transfer to the amino-borane intermediate.

“Activated Borane” – A Porous Borane Cluster Polymer as an Efficient Lewis Acid-based Catalyst
Borane cluster based porous covalent networks, named activated borane (ActB), were prepared by co-thermolysis of decaborane(14) (nido-B10H14) and selected hydrocarbons (toluene – ActB-Tol, cyclohexane – ActB-cyHx, and n-hexane – ActB-nHx) under anaerobic
