The Oxidation Mechanisms of Saturated Fatty Acids: Formation of Hydroperoxide Isomers and Production of 2‐Alkanones and Lactones

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Saturated fatty acids (SFAs) are generally regarded simply as being resistant to oxidation compared with unsaturated fatty acids. However, it has long been reported that SFAs can undergo oxidation when heated at high temperatures, leading to the formation of unique degradation products such as 2‐alkanones and lactones.

Überraschende Umlagerungen eines 1,2,5,7-Benzothiatriazonins

open access: yesCHIMIA, 1984
Sodium borohydride reduction of 1,2,5,7-benzothiatriazonine 3 yields two isomeric products 4 and 5 (Scheme 1) whereas a third isomer 7 has been obtained after heating 3 in methanol and subsequent reduction of the intermediate 6 with sodium borohydride ...

Integrating agro‐residue valorization and clean hydrogen production: coconut fiber‐based catalysts for NaBH4 hydrolysis

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract A novel phosphoric acid‐treated green coconut fiber (GCF‐C) was developed as a catalyst for hydrogen production from the hydrolysis of sodium borohydride (NaBH4). Characterization techniques confirmed structural modifications, including X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray fluorescence, Fourier transform infrared, and ...

Alkene Isomerization Catalyzed by a Mn(I) Bisphosphine Borohydride Complex

open access: yes
An additive-free manganese-catalyzed isomerization of terminal alkenes to internal alkenes is described. This reaction is atom economic, implementing an inexpensive, non-precious metal catalyst. The most efficient catalyst is the borohydride complex cis-[

Glycosylated dendrimer nanoamplifiers hijack DNA damage‐immune crosstalk for enhanced dual‐track therapy of orthotopic glioblastoma

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
A glycosylated dendrimer nanoamplifier hijacks DNA damage‐immune crosstalk for enhanced radio‐immunotherapy of glioblastoma. The responsive release of demethylcantharidin simultaneously blocks repair‐mediated resistance by inhibiting DNA repair and overcomes adaptive immune resistance.

Micro method for determination of borohydride with NAD+ [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
A spectrophotometric method for the determination of borohydride is described. It involves the reduction of NAD+ to a number of isomeric forms of NADH by borohydride.

Multifunctional Design of Solid Polymer Electrolytes: Paving the Way for High‐Performance All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
This review provides a comprehensive and systematic overview of the multifunctional design strategies for solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs), a pivotal component for enabling high‐performance all‐solid‐state batteries (ASSBs). It begins with a detailed classification of SPE systems and elaborates on their respective molecular design principles. The work

Locking Ni Atoms in Ordered PtNi for Durable Hydrogen Production: From Electrocatalyst Design to Practical AEMWE Stack Validation

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
DFT‐guided atomic ordering of PtNi intermetallic catalysts enhances HER activity and durability by optimizing hydrogen adsorption and increasing dissolution potential. Experimental validation from half‐cell to practical AEMWE stack demonstrates outstanding performance with less than 2% degradation over 3,000 h.

Fe Atoms Accelerator Coupled With Oxygen Vacancies Channel Synergistically Boost OER Performance of Fe‐CoMoO4‐Ov Nanosheets

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Fe‐CoMoO4‐Ov/NF demonstrates significantly improved OER catalytic performance compared to CoMoO4. Specifically, the introduced Fe atoms act as a promoter for surface reconstruction, significantly reducing the energy required for surface reconstruction to generate FeCoOOH. The oxygen vacancies serve as electron channels between the core Fe‐CoMoO4‐Ov and
