NH Bond Activation of Hydrazine Using Cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbenes and Boranes

We report the reactivity of cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbenes (cAACs) with hydrazine derivatives. EtcAAC (1) activates the NH bond of phenyl‐substituted hydrazine derivatives, while analogous reactions with unsubstituted hydrazine (N2H4) were not tractable.
