Deformation quantization of bosonic strings [PDF]

open access: greenJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 2000
Deformation quantization of bosonic strings is considered. We show that the light-cone gauge is the most convenient classical description to perform the quantization of bosonic strings in the deformation quantization formalism.

Fractional Bosonic Strings [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2018
The aim of this paper is to present a simple generalization of bosonic string theory in the framework of the theory of fractional variational problems.

Nonrelativistic Expansion of Closed Bosonic Strings [PDF]

open access: hybridPhysical Review Letters, 2022
We develop a novel approach to nonrelativistic closed bosonic string theory that is based on a string 1/c^{2} expansion of the relativistic string, where c is the speed of light.

Entanglement entropy for open bosonic strings on Dp-branes [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2018
We study the entanglement entropy for open bosonic strings on multiple Dp-branes by using the covariant open string field theory. Choosing one of the spatial coordinates which are tangential to the hyperplane on which Dp-branes are located, we divide the

On minimal Script N = 4 topological strings and the (1,k) minimal bosonic string [PDF]

open access: green, 2006
In this paper we consider tree-level scattering in the minimal N=4 topological string and show that a large class of N-point functions can be recast in terms of corresponding amplitudes in the (1,k) minimal bosonic string.

The action of long strings in supersymmetric field theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Long strings emerge in many Quantum Field Theories, for example as vortices in Abelian Higgs theories, or flux tubes in Yang-Mills theories. The actions of such objects can be expanded in the number of derivatives, around a long straight string solution.

Scattering amplitudes of regularized bosonic strings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We compute scattering amplitudes of the regularized bosonic Nambu-Goto string in the mean-field approximation, disregarding fluctuations of the Lagrange multiplier and an independent metric about their mean values.

The Nambu-Goto theory of closed bosonic strings moving in 1 + 3-dimensional Minkowski space: the construction of the quantum algebra of observables up to degree five [PDF]

open access: greenAnnals of Physics, 1999
The quantum algebra of observables of closed bosonic strings moving in 1 + 3–dimensional Minkowski space is constructed up to degree five. All independent relations of degree four are computed; they involve three as yet undetermined parameters ...

Statistical transmutation of quantum bosonic strings coupled to general four-dimensional Chern-Simons theory [PDF]

open access: green, 2002
A bosonic string coupled to the generalized Chern-Simons theory in 3+1D acquires a magnetic field along itself, when it is closed, and a topological charge at its extremity, when it is open.

The Nambu-Goto theory of closed bosonic strings moving in 1 + 3-dimensional Minkowski space: the quantum algebra of observables [PDF]

open access: greenAnnals of Physics, 1999
A relevant part of the quantum algebra of observables for the closed bosonic strings moving in 1 + 3–dimensional Minkowski space is presented in the form of generating relations involving still one, as yet undetermined, real free parameter.
