Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

We consider a cloud of fermionic atoms in an optical lattice described by a Hubbard model with an additional linear potential. While homogeneous interacting systems mainly show damped Bloch oscillations and heating, a finite cloud behaves differently: It

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Cyclic Pockmark Formation Linked to Plio‐Pleistocene Sea‐Level Rise on the Chatham Rise, New Zealand
Pockmarks are geomorphological depressions on the seafloor in various underwater environmental settings. They are commonly linked to fluid release from subsurface reservoirs; however, the processes involved, fluid types, and relative timing of their ...

The influence of electron temperature on pattern-dependent charging during etching in high-density plasmas [PDF]
The effect of the electron temperature (Te) on charging potentials that develop in trenches during plasma etching of high aspect ratio polysilicon-on-insulator structures is studied by two-dimensional Monte Carlo simulations.

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Flow morphology in bottom-propagating gravity currents over immersed obstacles
The interaction of bottom-propagating gravity currents with immersed obstacles in the path of the lock-exchange configuration was numerically investigated based on large eddy simulations.

Multi-Scale Influence of Flexible Submerged Aquatic Vegetation (SAV) on Estuarine Hydrodynamics
Bottom friction is an important process in coastal and estuarine environments because it can reduce wave heights and moderate tidal currents. When modeling large systems with spatially varying hydraulic properties, bottom friction values are commonly ...

Lateral and Bottom Forces on Longshore Currents
A two-component electromagnetic flowmeter has been used on a natural beach of slope 0.01 to measure mean longshore currents and the horizontal fluctuating velocities in the frequency range 0-1 Hz. The measurements extend up to 120 m offshore and span about one third of a wide surf-zone.

Near-Bottom Velocities in Waves with a Current
Bakker (1974) developed a mathematical model concerning the sand concentration and velocity distribution in an oscillatory turbulent flow, with or without resultant current. The flow is assumed to be uniform in horizontal direction. The present paper reports on an experimental verification of this theory.
