Protecting the conformal symmetry via bulk renormalization on Anti deSitter space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The problem of perturbative breakdown of conformal symmetry can be avoided, if a conformally covariant quantum field phi on d-dimensional Minkowski spacetime is viewed as the boundary limit of a quantum field Phi on d+1-dimensional anti-deSitter ...

Overlap singularity and time evolution in integrable quantum field theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We study homogeneous quenches in integrable quantum field theory where the initial state contains zero-momentum particles. We demonstrate that the two-particle pair amplitude necessarily has a singularity at the two-particle threshold.

Reflection Scattering Matrix of the Ising Model in a Random Boundary Magnetic Field [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The physical properties induced by a quenched surface magnetic field in the Ising model are investigated by means of boundary quantum field theory in replica space. Exact boundary scattering amplitudes are proposed and used to study the averaged quenched

Quantum field theories with boundaries and novel instabilities [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2014
Quantum physics on manifolds with boundary brings novel aspects due to boundary conditions. One important feature is the appearance of localised negative eigenmodes for the Laplacian on the boundary. These can potentially lead to instabilities. We consider quantum field theories on such manifolds and interpret these as leading to the onset of phase ...

Quantum field aspect of Unruh problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
It is shown using both conventional and algebraic approach to quantum field theory that it is impossible to perform quantization on Unruh modes in Minkowski spacetime.

Duality and transport for supersymmetric graphene from the hemisphere partition function

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We use localization to compute the partition function of a four dimensional, supersymmetric, abelian gauge theory on a hemisphere coupled to charged matter on the boundary.

Induced Dilaton in Topologically Massive Quantum Field Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We consider the conformally-invariant coupling of topologically massive gravity to a dynamical massless scalar field theory on a three-manifold with boundary.

BOUNDARY S MATRIX AND BOUNDARY STATE IN TWO-DIMENSIONAL INTEGRABLE QUANTUM FIELD THEORY [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 1994
We study integrals of motion and factorizable S matrices in two-dimensional integrable field theory with boundary. We propose the "boundary cross-unitarity equation," which is the boundary analog of the crossing-symmetry condition of the "bulk" S matrix.

Rényi entanglement entropies for the compactified massless boson with open boundary conditions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We investigate the Rényi entanglement entropies for the one-dimensional massless free boson compactified on a circle, which describes the low energy sector of several interacting many-body 1d systems (Luttinger Liquid).
