BOUNDARY OPERATORS IN QUANTUM FIELD THEORY [PDF]
The fundamental laws of physics can be derived from the requirement of invariance under suitable classes of transformations on the one hand, and from the need for a well-posed mathematical theory on the other hand. As a part of this programme, the present paper shows under which conditions the introduction of pseudodifferential boundary operators in ...

Entanglement properties of boundary state and thermalization
We discuss the regularized boundary state e−τ0H|Ba $$ {e}^{-{\tau}_0H}\Big|{\left.B\right\rangle}_a $$ on two aspects in both 2D CFT and higher dimensional free field theory.

Boundary effects in quantum field theory
Electromagnetic and scalar fields are quantized in the region near an arbitrary smooth boundary, and the renormalized expectation value of the stress-energy tensor is calculated. The energy density is found to diverge as the boundary is approached.

Supersymmetric graphene on squashed hemisphere
We compute the partition function of N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 supersymmetric mixed dimensional QED on a squashed hemisphere using localization. Mixed dimensional QED is an abelian gauge theory coupled to charged matter fields at the boundary.

Conformal boundary conditions, loop gravity and the continuum
In this paper, we will make an attempt to clarify the relation between three-dimensional euclidean loop quantum gravity with vanishing cosmological constant and quantum field theory in the continuum.

Quantum radiation by an Unruh-DeWitt detector in oscillatory motion
Quantum radiated power emitted by an Unruh-DeWitt (UD) detector in linear oscillatory motion in (3+1)D Minkowski space, with the internal harmonic oscillator minimally coupled to a massless scalar field, is obtained non-perturbatively by numerical method.

Integrable quantum field theory with boundaries: the exact g-function [PDF]
The g-function was introduced by Affleck and Ludwig in the context of critical quantum systems with boundaries. In the framework of the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz (TBA) method for relativistic scattering theories, all attempts to write an exact integral equation for the off-critical version of this quantity have, up to now, been unsuccesful.

Connecting Fisher information to bulk entanglement in holography
In the context of relating AdS/CFT to quantum information theory, we propose a holographic dual of Fisher information metric for mixed states in the boundary field theory.

Some boundary effects in quantum field theory [PDF]
We have constructed a quantum field theory in a finite box, with periodic boundary conditions, using the hypothesis that particles living in a finite box are created and/or annihilated by the creation and/or annihilation operators, respectively, of a quantum harmonic oscillator on a circle.

Complexity in the presence of a boundary
The effects of a boundary on the circuit complexity are studied in two dimensional theories. The analysis is performed in the holographic realization of a conformal field theory with a boundary by employing different proposals for the dual of the ...
