Temporal Regulation of RNA Synthesis of Bovine Coronavirus [PDF]
It has been shown with mouse hepatitis virus (MHV) and avian infectious bronchitis virus that all of the subgenomic mRNAs and genomic RNA are synthesized at the same rate throughout the viral replication cycle (Leibowitz et al., 1981; Stern and Kennedy, 1980). The viral genomic RNA gradually accumulates late in infection.

ABSTRACT Microglia play an important role in ischemic stroke (IS). However, the molecular regulatory mechanisms underlying microglial ferroptosis in IS remain incompletely understood. In this study, blood samples were collected from 20 IS patients and 15 healthy volunteers.

Evolutionary Mechanisms of Coagulation Factors in Cetaceans During Aquatic Adaptation
Compared with Bos taurus, T. truncatus showed shorter prothrombin time and thrombin time but prolonged activated partial thromboplastin time, indicating pathway‐specific remodeling of coagulation. Evolutionary analyses identified 18 positively selected genes and accelerated F11 evolution, while functional assays revealed increased coagulation factor ...

Abstract Background Diarrhoea in newborn calves, which occurs in the first month of life and is caused by various pathogens, poses a significant threat to livestock industries. Therefore, timely diagnosis of enteritis in calves can be advantageous. Objective This study aimed to determine the efficacy of faecal calprotectin as a biomarker indicating ...

Polarized Entry of Bovine Coronavirus in Epithelial Cells [PDF]
Epithelial cells are highly polarized cells divided into an apical and a basolateral plasma membrane. The two domains are composed of a distinct set of proteins and lipids. Concerning virus infection of epithelial cells, the polarity of host cell receptor distribution defines the domain from which infection may be mediated.
