R17 Drives Heparan Sulfate Clearance via Endolysosomal Trafficking
R17 is a viral protein that binds heparan sulfate glycosaminoglycans and traffics them to the lysosome, leading to their degradation in a manner that does not require the presence of the cation‐independent mannose‐6‐phosphatre receptor. In BxPC3 pancreatic cancer cells, this loss in heparan sulfate results in the reduction of cell migration.

RNF213 is characterized as a dual‐functional antiviral effector. It directly mediates the degradation of the influenza A virus nucleoprotein (NP) while simultaneously activating the MDA5‐mediated innate immune signaling pathway. This coordinated response establishes a powerful host defense system against viral infection. ABSTRACT Influenza A virus (IAV)

This study performs pan‐viromic profiling of 14,529 samples from 5,710 domestic herbivores across five Chinese provinces, establishing the DhCN‐Virome (1,085,360 viral metagenomes). It reveals species/sample‐specific viromic signatures and cross‐species transmission dynamics, aiding unified disease control.

Inactivated bovine herpesvirus 1 induces apoptotic cell death of mitogen-stimulated bovine peripheral blood mononuclear cells [PDF]
Bovine herpesvirus 1 (BHV-1) is able to inhibit the proliferation of bovine peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Here, we have demonstrated that live BHV-1 and, interestingly, inactivated BHV-1 can induce apoptosis of mitogen-stimulated bovine peripheral ...

ABSTRACT Bovine leukemia virus (BLV), an oncogenic deltaretrovirus, establishes lifelong infection in cattle and induces enzootic bovine leukosis in a subset of animals following prolonged latency. Despite extensive evidence of immune dysregulation, stage‐specific transcriptional reprogramming of B cells, the primary viral reservoir remains ...

In vitro interaction of bovine herpesvirus 1 with uterine tube epithelial cells and oocytes
The aims of this study were to assess in vitro if bovine oocytes and oviductal epithelial cells from slaughterhouses for in vitro fertilization use may be infected with bovine herpesvirus 1; to analyze whether the treatment with trypsin according to the ...

The strong enhancer element in the immediate early region of the human cytomegalovirus genome [PDF]
The human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), a member of the herpesvirus group, was found to possess a strong transcription enhancer in the immediate early gene region. Co-transfection of enhancerless SV40 DNA with randomly fragmented HCMV DNA yielded two SV40-
