The vaccines for Bovine Herpesvirus Type 1: A review
Bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BoHV-1) is the pathogen of Infectious Bovine Rhinothracheitis (IBR) disease, causing great economic losses in the livestock industry. Vaccine is a powerful means to control the virus.

The Effect of Bovine Herpesvirus Type 1 Glycoproteins gI and gIII on Herpesvirus Infections
We expressed the bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BHV-1) glycoproteins, gI and gIII, in bovine cells using a bovine papillomavirus vector. The proteins expressed by these cells had the same Mr as the native BHV-1 proteins and monoclonal antibodies detected no differences in their antigenic structure.

Bovine herpesvirus type 1 modulates telomerase activity in madin darby bovine kidney cells
The proliferative capacity of mammalian cells is regulated by telomerase, an enzyme uniquely specialised for telomeric DNA synthesis. Evidence regarding the role of telomerase in the pathogenesis of several viruses including human immunodeficiency virus ...

Increased coding potential of Bovine Herpesvirus 1
Bovine respiratory disease (BRD) costs the cattle industry millions of dollars in costs in treatment and loss every year in the United States. A significant pathogen often contributes to BRD is Bovine Herpesvirus 1 (BoHV-1), a double stranded DNA virus ...

Immunity to bovine herpesvirus 1: II. Adaptive immunity and vaccinology
Bovine herpesvirus 1 (BHV-1) infection is widespread and causes a variety of diseases. Although similar in many respects to the human immune response to human herpesvirus 1, the differences in the bovine virus proteins, immune system components and ...

Rapid and efficient construction of recombinant bovine herpesvirus 1 genomes
Bovine herpesvirus 1 (BoHV-1) is an important pathogen of cattle. Recombinant bovine herpesvirus 1 viruses (rBoHV) have been studied extensively as potential vaccines for BoHV-1 associated diseases.

Latent equine herpesvirus infections in horses
A significant characteristic of the herpesviruses is that they form latent infections in infected hosts, and can be reactivated to again induce lytic infections by stressors.

Bovine Herpesvirus 4 infections and bovine mastitis [PDF]
Mastitis is an often occurring disease in dairy cattle with an enormous economic impact for milk producers worldwide. Despite intensive research, which is historically based on the detection of bacterial udder pathogens, still around 20-35% of clinical ...
