Fine tuning of the E. coli NusB:NusE complex affinity to BoxA RNA is required for processive antitermination [PDF]

open access: yesNucleic Acids Research, 2009
Phage lambda propagation in Escherichia coli host cells requires transcription antitermination on the lambda chromosome mediated by lambdaN protein and four host Nus factors, NusA, B, E (ribosomal S10) and G. Interaction of E. coli NusB:NusE heterodimer with the single stranded BoxA motif of lambdanutL or lambdanutR RNA is crucial for this reaction ...

Attenuation of Myocardial Injury by HMGB1 Blockade during Ischemia/Reperfusion Is Toll-Like Receptor 2-Dependent

open access: yesMediators of Inflammation, 2013
Genetic or pharmacological ablation of toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) protects against myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MI/R). However, the endogenous ligand responsible for TLR2 activation has not yet been detected.

Leftover narcotic analgesics among emergency department patients and methods of disposal

open access: yesJournal of the American College of Emergency Physicians Open, Volume 1, Issue 6, Page 1486-1492, December 2020., 2020
Abstract Objective Given the increase in narcotic addiction and diversion, understanding how patients use their opioid prescriptions and store or dispose of any remainders is important. We set out to determine the frequency in which patients had leftover opioid quantities from prescriptions received in the emergency department (ED).

Cloning of the promoter sequence of rice OsPR-4b gene and construction of its 5′ deletions for analyzing promoter activity

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2005
A 2257 bp promoter sequence upstream of the rice OsPR-4b was amplified using two primers designed on the basis of the sequence of OsPR-4b and rice genome sequences database. Several cis-acting elements, including W-box, PAL-boxA, GT-1 elements and MybSt1

Specific Binding of Escherichia coli Ribosomal Protein S1 to boxA Transcriptional Antiterminator RNA [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 1998
ABSTRACT We show that ribosomal protein S1 specifically binds the boxA transcriptional antiterminator RNAs of bacteriophage λ and the Escherichia coli ribosomal RNA operons.

The potential roles of high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) in musculoskeletal disease: A systematic review

open access: yesTRANSLATIONAL SPORTS MEDICINE, Volume 3, Issue 6, Page 536-564, November 2020., 2020
Abstract There is increasing evidence for the involvement of high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) in inflammation, angiogenesis, and tumorigenesis. However, no studies have reviewed the role of HMGB1 in musculoskeletal disease. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the literature regarding the potential roles of HMGB1 in musculoskeletal disease (joint,

Additional file 4 of Bacteriophage genotyping using BOXA repetitive-PCR

open access: yes, 2020
Additional file 4 Influence of the propagating temperature and propagating host on the phage profile. This file provides the BOXA2R-PCRfingerprint profiles of lactococcal phages 712 and P087, which show the influence of the propagating temperature and their hosts on pattern reproducibility.

Point mutations in the leader boxA of a plasmid-encoded Escherichia coli rrnB operon cause defective antitermination in vivo [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 1995
We have introduced point mutations into the leader boxA of a plasmid-encoded Escherichia coli rrnB operon to study the in vivo role of this regulatory element in the natural context of rRNA synthesis. The same mutations were previously shown to cause severe antitermination defects in vitro and in the context of a reporter gene assay.
