Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Semi-abelian categories, cocommutative Hopf algebras and Hopf braces
In this talk I’ll present some recent results on the interactions between Hopf algebra theory and semi-abelian categories. Semi-abelian categories [1] have played a central role in categorical algebra during the last 25 years.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Skew Braces of Finite Morley Rank
We describe skew braces of finite Morley rank. In particular, we derive sufficient and necessary conditions for the solubility and nilpotency of skew braces of finite Morley rank.

What are the clinical recommendations for the use of ankle braces? A scoping review
Background: Ankle braces can be used in the treatment and prevention of lateral ankle sprains. However, there is a limited understanding and consensus about which type of brace should be used, for how long, and when to stop using ankle braces. Objective:

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Evaluating the Efficiency of Milwaukee Brace on Scoliosis Deformity: A Systematic Review of Literature [PDF]
Objectives: Scoliosis is a three-dimensional deformity of the spine that can be treated using various treatment approaches. The use of braces is one of the most commonly used treatment methods for controlling curve progression.
