Derivation of reduced two-dimensional fluid models via Dirac's theory of constrained Hamiltonian systems [PDF]
We present a Hamiltonian derivation of a class of reduced plasma two-dimensional fluid models, an example being the Charney-Hasegawa-Mima equation. These models are obtained from the same parent Hamiltonian model, which consists of the ion momentum ...

A retrospective survey of the causes of bracket- and tube-bonding failures.
OBJECTIVE To investigate the causes of bonding failures of orthodontic brackets and tubes and the effect of premedicating for saliva reduction. MATERIALS AND METHODS Premedication with atropine sulfate was administered randomly.

In molecular cancer diagnostics, comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) is going to replace the small NGS panels since it provides all clinically relevant somatic variants as well as genomic biomarkers with clinical value. Here, we compared two CGP assays and demonstrate that the choice for diagnostic implementation will depend on the specific ...

The results of clinical testing of photodynamic therapy in the complex treatment of gingivitis, complicating orthodontic treatment with bracket systems [PDF]
In spite of a high efficiency, the use of brackets in orthodontic patients can provoke the development of inflammatory processes in marginal periodontal tissues.

Skein theory for SU(n)-quantum invariants
For any n>1 we define an isotopy invariant, _n, for a certain set of n-valent ribbon graphs Gamma in R^3, including all framed oriented links. We show that our bracket coincides with the Kauffman bracket for n=2 and with the Kuperberg's bracket for n=3 ...

Peripheral blood proteome biomarkers distinguish immunosuppressive features of cancer progression
Immune status significantly influences cancer progression. This study used plasma proteomics to analyze benign 67NR and malignant 4T1 breast tumor models at early and late tumor stages. Immune‐related proteins–osteopontin (Spp1), lactotransferrin (Ltf), calreticulin (Calr) and peroxiredoxin 2 (Prdx2)–were associated with systemic myeloid‐derived ...

Revealing Choice Bracketing [PDF]
Experiments suggest that people fail to take into account interdependencies between their choices -- they do not broadly bracket. Researchers often instead assume that people narrowly bracket, but existing designs do not test it. We design a novel experiment and revealed preference tests for how someone brackets their choices.
