Birefringence Bragg Binary (3B) grating, quasi-Bragg grating and immersion gratings

SPIE Proceedings, 2014
A volume phase holographic (VPH) grating achieves high angular dispersion and very high diffraction efficiency for the first diffraction order and for S or P polarization. However the VPH grating could not achieve high diffraction efficiency for non-polarized light at a large diffraction angle because properties of diffraction efficiencies for S and ...

Interrogation of fibre Bragg gratings with a tilted fibre Bragg grating

Measurement Science and Technology, 2004
A new and efficient interrogation scheme suitable for monitoring the Bragg wavelengths of multiplexed fibre Bragg gratings is presented. The heart of the technique consists of a tilted and chirped fibre Bragg grating placed in front of a photodetector linear array.

Analysis and applications of fiber Bragg gratings

2018 26th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2018
In this paper, one of the basic elements in optical communications systems, fiber Bragg gratings, were investigated and data transmission in optical communications systems using fiber Bragg gratings was analyzed with the help of the OptiSystem 7.0 simulation program.

Fabrication of Bragg Grating Structures in Silicon

Physica Scripta, 2002
A fabrication process to realise very short period grating structures in silicon has been developed. The period of a first order Bragg grating operating at a wavelength of 1.55 μm is 230 nm. The grating structures have been directly written to PMMA resist using an electron beam pattern generator.

Intracavity Bragg grating

Journal of the Optical Society of America B, 1999
Bragg diffraction of a read beam is studied theoretically when the refractive-index grating is placed inside a Fabry–Perot cavity. Diffraction efficiency, angular selectivity, and signal-to-noise ratio are largely enhanced compared with those for the bare Bragg grating, which may permit the use of low-efficiency or short-length materials as well.

Fiber Bragg Grating

2012
Fiber optics has emerged as a promising sensing technology over the past two decades. Fiber optic sensors (FOS) have generated great interest due to their small size, immunity to electro-magnetic interference and radio frequency (RF) interference, inherent safety, and accuracy.

Dynamics of Bragg Grating Solitons In Coupled Bragg Gratings With Dispersive Reflectivity

2014
We study dynamics of Bragg grating solitons in a system of linearly coupled Bragg gratings with Kerr nonlinearity. The effects of dispersive reflectivity on the behaviour of solitons in the system are investigated by solving the coupled mode equations numerically. Gap solitons, are found to exist throughout the bandgap of the structure.
