Branched Setae or Attached Macroalgae: A Case Study of an Exceptionally Preserved Brachiopod from the Early Cambrian Chengjiang Lagerstätte

open access: yesBiology
The remarkable conservation of soft tissues within Cambrian fossils has significantly enhanced our comprehension of the origins and evolutionary trajectories of animals, in addition to the progression of ecological intricacy.

Branch-Well-Structured Transition Systems and Extensions

open access: yesLogical Methods in Computer Science, 2022
We propose a relaxation to the definition of well-structured transition systems (\WSTS) while retaining the decidability of boundedness and non-termination. In this class, the well-quasi-ordered (wqo) condition is relaxed such that it is applicable only between states that are reachable one from another.

Moduli spaces of branched projective structures

open access: yes, 2023
Dans cette thèse nous étudions les structures projectives branchées, qui sont des surfaces compactes localement modelées sur la sphère de Riemann, avec des singularités coniques dont l'angle est un multiple de 2π.

PARK(ing) time–How park deficiency affects the biological clock in a Drosophila model of Parkinson's disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Hyperbranched Silicone MDTQ Tack Promoters

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Low molecular weight, highly crosslinked silicone resins are widely used as reinforcing agents for highly transparent elastomers and adhesion/tack promoters in gels.

Structure of the branched intermediate in protein splicing [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2014
Significance We report the crystal structure of an intein poised to carry out the rate-limiting step in protein splicing, namely the attack of a conserved Asn side-chain amide on the adjacent backbone amide, leading to resolution of the branched intermediate in the process.

Branched Projective Structures and Bundles of Projective Frames on Surfaces

open access: yes, 2023
We show that the description of the holomorphic $\mathbb C \mathrm P^1$-bundle associated to a holomorphic projective structure on a Riemann surface in terms of the principal bundle of projective $2$-frames extends very well to the setting of branched ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Branched structures and affine and projective bundles on Riemann surfaces

open access: yes, 1973
A classification for analytic branched G-structures on a Riemann surface M is provided by means of a map ϕ G {\phi _G} , into the moduli spaces of flat G-bundles on M .
