Photoswitchable Mixed Valence [PDF]
For a molecular electronics technology to be fully serviceable, switching functions will be indispensable. Specifically, it will be desirable to control the conductivity of a given molecule using an external stimulus.

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Tetrathiafulvalene – a redox-switchable building block to control motion in mechanically interlocked molecules [PDF]
With the rise of artificial molecular machines, control of motion on the nanoscale has become a major contemporary research challenge. Tetrathiafulvalenes (TTFs) are one of the most versatile and widely used molecular redox switches to generate and ...

A novel DR/NIR T-shaped aiegen: Synthesis and x-ray crystal structure study [PDF]
We developed a new benzodifuran derivative as the condensation product between 2,6-diamino-4-(4-nitrophenyl)benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b’]difuran-3,7-dicarboxylate and 3-hydroxy-2-naphthaldehyde.

Bioelectrical Interfaces Beyond Excitable Cells: Cancer, Aging, and Gene Expression Modulation
ABSTRACT The investigation of biological conductivity has evolved from its classical foundation based on ionic fluxes underpinning cardiac and neuronal excitability to a multifaceted regulator of cellular physiology. Traditional approaches for probing electrical events in living matter focused largely on action potentials recording.

Light‐Programmable Interfaces: From Molecular Photoswitching to Adaptive Membrane Separations
This review advances an interface‐centered framework for light‐responsive membranes, linking molecular photoswitches (azobenzene (AZO), spiropyran (SP), diarylethene (DAE), donor–acceptor Stenhouse adducts (DASA), photoacid) to integration strategies in polymeric, porous, self‐assembled, and mixed‐matrix systems.

Chirality induction by E–Z photoisomerization in [2,2]paracyclophane-bridged azobenzene dimer [PDF]
We designed and synthesized a new prochiral molecule in which two azobenzene moieties were embedded in [2,2]paracyclophane and showed the chirality induction by E–Z photoisomerization. We also demonstrated the on/off switching of asymmetry by irradiation and reflux respectively.

Delocalized hypervalent silyl radical supported by amidinate and imino substituents [PDF]
The reaction of the amidinato silylsilylene with a functionalized diaminochlorosilyl substituent [LSiSi(Cl){(NtBu)2C(H)Ph}] (1, L = PhC(NtBu)2) with ArN=C=NAr (Ar = 2,6-iPr2C6H3) in toluene afforded the delo-calized hypervalent silyl radical [LSi(-CNAr ...

Phototunable Polarization Volume Gratings Driven by Chiral Hydrazone Switches
Chiral hydrazone photoswitches incorporated into polarization volume gratings enable light‐driven, reversible modulation of optical properties. UV and blue light irradiation reversibly alter the hydrazone isomer ratio, leading to tunable diffraction efficiency and spectral response across the visible spectrum.
