Advances in Magnesium‐Based Thermoelectrics: A Critical Review
Magnesium‐based thermoelectric materials have emerged as promising candidates for low‐to‐mid‐temperature energy conversion due to their abundance, low cost, and competitive performance. This review summarizes recent advances in Mg3X2, MgAgSb, and Mg2X systems, covering transport mechanisms, fabrication strategies, stability challenges, and device ...

Peculiarities of Electrical Characteristics of Semi-Insulating CdTe-Cl crystals
Electrical properties of semi-insulating CdTe-Cl crystals, grown by the vertical Bridgman and the travelling heater method, have been studied. It is found that the travelling heater method provides electron conductivity of the crystals, and the vertical ...

Bridgman growth of LiYF4 and LiLuF4 crystals for radiation-balanced lasers
Single crystals of LiYF4 (YLF) and LiLuF4 (LLF) doped with Yb3+, Tm3+, or Ho3+ are attractive materials for enabling radiation balanced lasers (RBLs) operating in the 1–2 μm wavelength range.

Barriers and Enablers for Effective Support Coordination in the National Disability Insurance Scheme
ABSTRACT Support coordinators act as intermediaries between the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and participants, facilitating access to funded supports. To optimise outcomes, they must navigate NDIS complexities, identify services that meet individual needs and engage with diverse stakeholders.

High compositional homogeneity of CdTexSe1−x crystals grown by the Bridgman method
We obtained high-quality CdTexSe1−x (CdTeSe) crystals from ingots grown by the vertical Bridgman technique. The compositional uniformity of the ingots was evaluated by X-ray fluorescence at BNL’s National Synchrotron Light Source X27A beam line.

Shape control of the crystal-melt interface in the Bridgman method
Abstract The processes of silicon crystallization in flat-bottomed cylindrical graphite crucibles in the modes of conjugate convective heat transfer with allowance for latent heat are numerically investigated. The influence of hydrodynamics and heat transfer on the local shape of the crystal-melt interface has been studied.

A novel brand‐new co‐firing slow solidification process has been used to prepare Cs3Cu2I5: In single crystals (SCs), which demonstrate record‐breaking X‐ray detection performance. The regular‐shaped Cs3Cu2I5: In wafer obtains a high light yield (74 368 Ph MeV−1), which is the highest related to indium‐doped Cu‐based perovskites.

Impact of Nickel Diffusion on Leakage Current Degradation in β‐Ga2O3 Schottky Barrier Diodes
The diffusion of Ni atoms during Schottky electrode fabrication induces localized stress defects in β‐Ga₂O₃ substrates, which act as primary reverse leakage pathways in SBDs. Elucidating this mechanism provides critical guidance for optimizing electrode composition in high‐performance β‐Ga₂O₃ electronics.
