Gaiabroad band photometry [PDF]
The scientific community needs to be prepared to analyse the data from Gaia, one of the most ambitious ESA space missions, to be launched in 2012. The purpose of this paper is to provide data and tools in order to predict in advance how Gaia photometry is expected to be.

Stellar Populations in M31 from Broad-band Photometry [PDF]
AbstractDue to its proximity, size, complex structure and high inclination angle, M31 offers an excellent opportunity for studying galactic structures outside the Milky Way and for drawing implications for their cosmological origin. We have studied the stellar populations of M 31 using the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) photometry and the Spitzer far ...

Contemporaneous broad-band photometry and H$$ observations of T Tauri stars [PDF]
The study of contemporaneous variations of the continuum flux and emission lines is of great importance to understand the different astrophysical processes at work in T Tauri stars. In this paper we present the results of a simultaneous $BVRI$ and H$ $ photometric monitoring, contemporaneous to medium-resolution spectroscopy of six T Tauri stars in ...

Broad-band photometry of extreme helium stars

Broad-band BVRI photometry of isolated spiral galaxies [PDF]
Context. Uniform and high resolution observations in samples of isolated galaxies are required to estimate fundamental morphological and structural parameters for comparative studies of environmental effects and for confronting model predictions of galaxy evolution.

Broad-band 20-micron photometry of 76 stars.
Observations in the 16 to 28 micron spectral band made with an infrared photometer mounted at the Cassegrain f/10 focus of a 2.24-m telescope are discussed. The stars observed belonged to classes B through M and included several carbon and S stars. Most of them are Mira, semiregular, or irregular variables.

Variability studies of Seyfert galaxies - I. Broad-band optical photometry [PDF]
The results of a four-year campaign to monitor the variations of 35 southern Seyfert galaxies, using UBV(RI) c multi-aperture photometry, are presented. Most of the galaxies are found to be variable. The light curves are displayed and some of their more interesting details are discussed.

Synthetic stellar photometry – I. General considerations and new transformations for broad-band systems [PDF]
After a pedagogical introduction to the main concepts of synthetic photometry, colours and bolometric corrections in the Johnson-Cousins, 2MASS, and HST-ACS/WFC3 photometric systems are generated from MARCS synthetic fluxes for various [Fe/H] and [alpha/Fe] combinations, and virtually any value of reddening E(B-V) < 0.7.

Star-formation in NGC 4038/4039 from broad and narrow band photometry: cluster destruction? [PDF]
Accurately determining the star formation history in NGC 4038/4039 -- ``The Antennae'' is hampered by extinction. We therefore used near infrared images obtained with ISAAC at the VLT and with SOFI at the NTT to determine the recent star formation history in this merger.
