Al‐Khadhaf: The first camera‐observed (H5–6) meteorite fall from Oman
Abstract A fireball camera system installed in 2022 by the Oman Meteorite Monitoring Project (OMMP) as part of the Global Fireball Observatory (GFO) recorded a 3.2 s fireball on March 8, 2022 at 8:15 p.m. UTC. A meteoroid of 4 ± 2 kg entered the atmosphere at 14.0 km/s.

The Optical Light Curve of GRB 221009A: The Afterglow and the Emerging Supernova
We present extensive optical photometry of the afterglow of GRB 221009A. Our data cover 0.9–59.9 days from the time of Swift and Fermi gamma-ray burst (GRB) detections.

Broad-band photometry and long-slit spectroscopy of the peculiar ring galaxy FM 287-14 [PDF]
Aims. We report detailed morphological and kinematical insights into the disturbed galaxy FM 287-14, which is reported in the literature as a member of strongly interacting galaxies with a clear case of mergers. The main purpose of this paper is to provide a first observational study of this double-nuclei object based on photometry and spectroscopy ...

Abstract Background and Objectives Hypoxic/hypocapnic (HH) treatment and storage conditions have been shown to reduce oxidative stress and improve red blood cell (RBC) quality. This study aimed to validate a good manufacturing practice HH RBC product for obtaining the licence for routine use in patients, by comparison with normoxic RBCs both without ...

ApoJ regulates endothelial lipase activity and stability
Abstract Endothelial lipase (EL) is a key regulator of high‐density lipoprotein (HDL) metabolism. Many aspects of EL function remain incompletely understood due to challenges in purifying active EL. This study identifies apolipoprotein J (ApoJ) as a novel chaperone for EL, crucial for its solubility and activity.

Theoretical predictions for the effect of nebular emission on the broad-band photometry of high-redshift galaxies [PDF]
By combining optical and near-IR observations from the Hubble Space Telescope with NIR photometry from the Spitzer Space Telescope it is possible to measure the rest-frame UV-optical colours of galaxies at z=4-8. The UV-optical spectral energy distribution of star formation dominated galaxies is the result of several different factors.

The Bochum Survey of the Southern Galactic Disk: III. Complete Data Release
ABSTRACT The Southern Galactic Disk Survey (GDS) monitored a mosaic of 268 fields along a 6°$$ {6}^{{}^{\circ}} $$‐wide stripe in the southern Galactic disk with simultaneous observations in r′$$ {r}^{\prime } $$ and i′$$ {i}^{\prime } $$ (7m≲r′,i′≲18m$$ {7}^{\mathrm{m}}\lesssim {r}^{\prime },{i}^{\prime}\lesssim {18}^{\mathrm{m}} $$) from September ...
