Long‐read sequencing‐based atlas of tissue‐specific expression of DNM1L transcript variants
The FEBS Journal, EarlyView.Targeted long‐read sequencing resolves full‐length DNM1L (Drp1) isoforms and reveals conserved, tissue‐specific expression patterns across human and mouse tissues. Functional assays show that Drp1 isoforms differ in their ability to drive mitochondrial fission, independent of abundance, with specific exons modulating activity.

Unraveling the active site cover of coproheme decarboxylase from Listeria monocytogenes
The FEBS Journal, EarlyView.During heme biosynthesis in Gram‐positive bacteria, coproheme decarboxylase (ChdC) catalyzes the conversion of four‐propionate substrate coproheme to the two propionate product heme b. Its active site is universally covered by a flexible linking loop. This study identifies an important histidine residue, which stabilizes the loop in a ChdC homolog.

The Discovery of the Faintest Known Milky Way Satellite Using UNIONS
The Astrophysical JournalWe present the discovery of Ursa Major III/UNIONS 1, the least luminous known satellite of the Milky Way, which is estimated to have an absolute V -band magnitude of $+{2.2}_{-0.3}^{+0.4}$ mag, equivalent to a total stellar mass of ${16}_{-5}^{+6}$ M _⊙ .
