CT‐guided cryoablation is an effective and safe treatment for both solid and sub‐solid lung tumors, achieving 100% technical success. It demonstrates favorable local control, particularly for sub‐solid nodules, with a low rate of major complications.

Here we report a case of PVL‐negative MSSA necrotizing pneumonia in a previously healthy man that rapidly progressed to cavitary lesions and refractory pneumothorax. Despite its improvement after clindamycin‐based therapy, the patient experienced recurrent pneumothorax and chronic respiratory failure.

The classical presentation of Lemierre′s syndrome, characterized by pharyngotonsillitis and internal jugular vein thrombosis, is not always observed, and incomplete and atypical variants can cause diagnostic uncertainty and delay in treatment.
