Thermographic‐Infrared Changes During Surgical Osteotomy Influenced by the Motor Type, System, and Diameter

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dentistry, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Background Thermographic‐infrared changes during osteotomy surgery depend on the type of motor used, size, and system of the dental implant. This study undertakes the evaluation of these thermal variations for successful optimization of dependent surgical procedures while aiming toward reduced thermal damage to the bone tissue.

Maximizing Scientific Exploitation of Raman Spectroscopy With A.C.M.E. (Atmospheric Chamber for Measurements in Environment)

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, Volume 56, Issue 11, Page 1394-1403, November 2025.
Simulated planetary gas detection using the A.C.M.E. chamber and a novel hollow‐core fiber Raman sensor. Controlled atmospheric mixtures were used to evaluate the sensor’s performance, demonstrating its capability to detect gases such as CO₂, O₂, and N₂. The results support the applicability of the HCF‐based Raman sensor in future planetary exploration

On the variation with flux and frequency of the core loss coefficients in electrical machines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A model of core losses, in which the hysteresis coefficients are variable with the frequency and induction (flux density) and the eddy-current and excess loss coefficients are variable only with the induction, is proposed. A procedure for identifying the

Nanometer Resolution Structure‐Emission Correlation of Individual Quantum Emitters via Enhanced Cathodoluminescence in Twisted Hexagonal Boron Nitride

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 41, October 16, 2025.
Nanometer‐resolution mapping of individual quantum emitters in hexagonal boron nitride is achieved, allowing us to identify the 440 nm blue emitter as a substituted vertical carbon dimer. Leveraging this atomic‐level insight, the deterministic creation of isolated single 440 nm blue emitters is demonstrated through localized electron beam irradiation ...

Comparison of fault-tolerant operations for permanent-magnet hybrid brushless motor drive [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Paper No. CS-06The permanent-magnet hybrid brushless (PMHB) motor adopts both DC field windings and PMs for excitation. It not only offers effective online flux control, but also flexible brushless DC (BLDC) or brushless AC (BLAC) operations.

Suppression of Stacking Faults for Stable Formamidinium‐Rich Perovskite Absorbers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 26, July 3, 2025.
The authors show that the (011)C perovskite planes are prone to stacking faults formation in all leading formamidinium‐rich perovskite compositions. Using ethylene thiourea as a precursor additive, Othman et al. suppress those vulnerable facets, significantly enhancing the absorber's intrinsic stability under various operational conditions.

Novel Winding Design and Analysis of Brushless Wound Rotor Synchronous Machines

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
Synchronous machines are electric machines characterised by a rotating speed proportional to the AC supply and are independent of load. Traditional permanent magnet synchronous machines utilise rare earth minerals for rotor flux generation, posing ...
