Anti-Melanogenic Effects of Umbelliferone: In Vitro and Clinical Studies
Melanin overexpression causes skin hyperpigmentation, which is associated with various skin disorders and cosmetic concerns. Umbelliferone, a natural coumarin found widely in plant species, has been noted for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects

Epitaxial growth of (001)-oriented Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 thin films on a-plane sapphire with an MgO/ZnO bridge layer [PDF]
High quality (001)-oriented Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 (BST) thin films have been grown on a-plane sapphire(112¯0) by rf magnetron sputtering using a double bridge layer consisting of (0001)-oriented ZnO (50 nm) and (001)-oriented MgO (10 nm) prepared by plasma ...

Enzymatic DNA Reaction Networks for Orchestrating Stimuli‐Dependent Temporal Molecular Pulse
We present an enzymatic DNA reaction network (EDRN) that encodes nucleic‐acid targets in time, converting inputs into a universal strand and then into programmable transient fluorescence pulses. With time‐color multiplexing, EDRN enables single‐tube high‐plex nucleic acid detection and shows strong agreement with clinical sequencing across 32 specimens.

Phenomenological theory of phase transitions in epitaxial BaxSr(1-x)TiO3 thin films
A phenomenological thermodynamic theory of BaxSr(1-x)TiO3 (BST-x) thin films epitaxially grown on cubic substrates is developed using the Landau-Devonshire approach. The eighth-order thermodynamic potential for BT single crystal and modified fourth-order

The 3K‐AP system forms infinite supramolecular fibrils that undergo controlled degradation into shorter fragments upon enzymatic hydrolysis. Multitechnique imaging reveals a stepwise bacteriolytic mechanism involving bacterial entrapment, disassembly into lethal constructs, and associated extracellular vesicle release, highlighting the dynamic ...

Statistical mechanics and the description of the early universe II. Principle of detailed balance and primordial 4He formation [PDF]
If the universe is slightly non-extensive, and the distribution functions are not exactly given by those of Boltzmann-Gibbs, the primordial production of light elements will be non-trivially modified. In particular, the principle of detailed balance (PDB)

Manipulating Atomic Disorder and Mesoscale Architectures for High‐Efficiency Thermoelectric Modules
The in situ reaction of PbTiO3 precursor reacts in situ with the Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 matrix, effectively enlarging the energy barrier for minority carrier excitation and suppressing bipolar diffusion, and predominantly scattering mid‐to‐low frequency phonons. Ultimately, a single thermoelectric module was fabricated to achieve a competitive efficiency of ∼7%
