Spatiotemporal Adaptive Nonuniformity Correction Based on BTV Regularization [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The residual nonuniformity response, ghosting artifacts, and over-smooth effects are the main defects of the existing nonuniformity correction (NUC) methods. In this paper, a spatiotemporal feature-based adaptive NUC algorithm with bilateral total variation (BTV) regularization is presented.

Assessment of vector/host contact: comparison of animal-baited traps and UV-light/suction trap for collecting Culicoides biting midges (Diptera: Ceratopogonidae), vectors of Orbiviruses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
BACKGROUND The emergence and massive spread of bluetongue in Western Europe during 2006-2008 had disastrous consequences for sheep and cattle production and confirmed the ability of Palaearctic Culicoides (Diptera: Ceratopogonidae) to transmit the virus.

Electro‐Chemo‐Mechanical Coupling in Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 Ferroionic Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 37, 7 May 2026.
Schematic of a ferroionic HZO heterostructure where epitaxial interfaces enable dynamic oxygen‐vacancy exchange, coupling ionic and ferroelectric degrees of freedom. Vacancy‐mediated polarization modulation biases HZO polymorphism, suppresses leakage, and enhances piezoelectric response, yielding distinct butterfly‐loop evolution and diode‐like ...

Typing Copyless Message Passing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present a calculus that models a form of process interaction based on copyless message passing, in the style of Singularity OS. The calculus is equipped with a type system ensuring that well-typed processes are free from memory faults, memory leaks ...

First‐in‐Human Dose Selection and Safety, Tolerability, Pharmacokinetics, and Immunogenicity of the Muscle‐Specific Kinase Agonist Adimanebart (ARGX‐119)

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 66, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Adimanebart (ARGX‐119), a first‐in‐class, humanized, agonistic monoclonal antibody, specifically targets and activates muscle‐specific kinase, stabilizing the neuromuscular junction, increasing muscle strength, and decreasing muscle weakness and fatigability in nonclinical, proof‐of‐concept studies.

Seroprevalence of bluetongue disease virus (BTV) among domestic ruminants in Kosovo and first record of BTV serotype 4 in sheep.

open access: yesBULGARIAN JOURNAL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE, 2019
The objective of the study was to estimate the seroprevalence and serotype of bluetongue virus (BTV) in domestic ruminants in different regions in Kosovo, in years 2014 and 2015. A total of 905 blood sera were analysed: 633 from sheep, 204 from cattle and 68 from goats, collected in 170 farms, 88 villages in 18 municipalities. All samples were analysed

Hole Polaronic Confinement in (111) Yttria‐Stabilised Zirconia

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 25, 4 May 2026.
Ultrathin epitaxial YSZ(111) films unexpectedly develop p‐type mixed conduction and amplified electromechanical coupling under oxidizing conditions. Combined transport measurements and first‐principles modeling reveal that nanoscale confinement and ordered dopant–vacancy complexes stabilize localized O 2p hole polarons at the surface. A canonical ionic

The First Report on the Complete Sequence Characterization of Bluetongue Virus Serotype 3 in the Republic of Korea

open access: yesVeterinary Sciences
The bluetongue virus (BTV) is a significant animal pathogen with economic implications in the ruminant industry. Despite global reports on BTV detection and epidemiologic investigations, limited studies have focused on the virus in the ROK. In this study,

Identification and characterization of a novel non-structural protein of bluetongue virus.

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens, 2011
Bluetongue virus (BTV) is the causative agent of a major disease of livestock (bluetongue). For over two decades, it has been widely accepted that the 10 segments of the dsRNA genome of BTV encode for 7 structural and 3 non-structural proteins.
